Senior representatives attending the gathering included China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Russia's Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu, and Iran's representative Ghadir Nezamipour. The discussions focused on counter-terrorism cooperation and the broader geopolitical challenges confronting the international community.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Doval held bilateral discussions covering the normalization process between India and China and reviewed developments in West Asia. The talks reflected New Delhi's continuing diplomatic engagement with key regional and global stakeholders.
The meeting also underscored India's efforts to balance solidarity within BRICS while maintaining relationships with partners including Israel. As India prepares to steer the grouping during its 2026 presidency, the gathering highlighted the country's growing role in shaping priorities and strengthening cooperation among emerging economies amid an increasingly uncertain global environment.
